WILMINGTON, North Carolina – With the fall semester exams complete and the books put away, the UNCW women's basketball team returns its focus to the court on Sunday, Dec. 11, as the Seahawks make the quick trip to NC State for a non-conference game at Reynolds Coliseum at 2 p.m.

The Seahawks, who have split their first six games, have been idle since claiming a 67-58 victory over Davidson on Nov. 30. Junior guard
Madison Raque, the Seahawks' leading scorer with a 12.5 average, posted her fourth double-digit scoring output of the season with a career-high 16 points.
Raque was one of three Seahawks to score in double figures against the Wildcats. Redshirt senior guard
Jasmine Steele came off the bench to contribute 13 points while junior guard
Diamond Willis chipped in 12 points.
NC State carries a 7-2 record into Sunday's in-state clash after posting a 78-52 victory over North Florida last Sunday afternoon at Kay Yow Court. The Wolfpack used four players reaching double figures in the victory, including 14 points from senior guard
Miah Spencer. NC State also shot an impressive 57.1 percent from the field in the victory.
Spencer is tied with seniors
Jennifer Mathurin and
Dominique Wilson with the team scoring lead by averaging 10.4 points per outing. She is also 23rd on the Wolfpack's all-time scoring list with 1,268 points while her 379 career assists ranks 10th in NC State's record book.
Sunday's game will mark the first meeting between the two teams since the 2011-12 campaign, which NC State won by an 83-64 margin. The Wolfpack has won all four previous encounters against the Seahawks.
