WILMINGTON, North Carolina - With hopes of extending their four-game win streak, the Seahawks will hit the road for their final two non-conference matches of the regular season. UNCW will visit long-time rival East Carolina on Thursday night before traveling to Wake Forest to face the Demon Deacons on Sunday afternoon.

Updating the Seahawks
• After claiming the Hilton Garden Inn Mayfaire Invitational for the fourth consecutive year, the Seahawks will bring a four-game winning streak and a 5-3-0 record into this weekend's matches against East Carolina and Wake Forest. The Seahawks earned a 4-0 victory over Richmond on Friday night in their home opener before posting a 2-0 triumph in the tournament finale against Campbell on Sunday afternoon.
• Senior forward Maddie McCormick led the Seahawks to the tournament victories by scoring three of her four goals in the two games. She netted a pair of goals in the victory over Richmond before adding another goal in the second half of Sunday's victory over Campbell. McCormick, who has scored 6 of her 21 career goals in the Hilton Garden Inn Mayfaire Invitational, was named as the tournament's Offensive MVP.
• Meanwhile, senior defender Morgan Leyble earned the tournament's Defensive MVP award after anchoring a Seahawk defense which allowed just nine total shots in two games.
• McCormick is the Seahawks' leading scorer with four goals while senior forward Katrina Guillou has contributed three goals with an assist.
• Senior goalkeeper Carolyn Huddy has started all eight games for the Seahawks with a 1.64 goals against average. She has also stopped 62.9 percent of the shots she has faced with three shutouts.
Scouting the Pirates
• After edging Charlotte by a 3-2 margin in double overtime on Sunday afternoon, the Pirates will be trying to continue a three-game winning streak when they host UNCW on Thursday night. East Carolina has not lost since a 1-0 decision against James Madison on Sept. 4.
• Senior Stephanie Seagrave scored the game-winning goal in the 106th minute against Charlotte on Sunday while juniors Lana Spitler and Jenna Geist each tallied a goal with an assist in the victory. East Carolina tallied 28 shots in the win over Charlotte, including 15 shots on goal.
• The Pirates played a pair of double-overtime games last weekend, marking the first time East Carolina has played in back-to-back double OT contests since 2004. It also marked the first time ECU has won a pair of double overtime contests in the same year since 2008.
• Spitler is the Pirates' leading scorer with four goals and three assists while senior Kendall Frey has contributed a goal with four assists.
• Senior goalkeeper Saundra Baron has played all eight matches for the Pirates this season, posting a 1.04 goals against average with a .719 save percentage.
Scouting the Demon Deacons
• Off to a 3-2-2 start, the Demon Deacons have won two of their last three contests heading into their Atlantic Coast Conference opener against Miami on Friday night.
• Wake Forest earned a 1-0 victory over George Mason in its last contest on Sunday afternoon as junior Sarah Teegarden scored the game's lone goal in the 67th minute on a penalty kick goal. The Demon Deacons outshot the Patriots by a 21-5 margin en route to their fourth shutout of the season.
• Teegarden leads the Demon Deacons with two goals and two assists while sophomore forward Sarah Medina has contributed two goals with an assist.
• The Demon Deacons have used a goalkeeping tandem through the first seven contests this season. Sophomore Lindsay Preston has appeared in all seven contests with a 0.96 goals against average and a .737 save percentage while freshman Nonie Frishette has posted seven saves in five appearances while not allowing a goal.
UNCW vs. East Carolina History
• The Seahawks and the Pirates will be meeting for the 22nd time in a series East Carolina leads by a 13-6-2 margin. However, UNCW earned the most recent win in the series with a 3-2 victory two years ago as the teams played to a scoreless draw last year at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.
• UNCW and East Carolina played as Colonial Athletic Association rivals from 1994-2000 and faced each other eight times as league foes. The teams battled to a scoreless draw in the 1996 CAA Tournament, but UNCW advanced due to a 5-4 advantage in penalty kicks.
• East Carolina is 5-2-1 in the last eight meetings against UNCW.

UNCW vs. Wake Forest Series History
• Sunday's contest between UNCW and Wake Forest will mark the ninth meeting between the two teams. The Demon Deacons won the first six contests against UNCW before the teams earned a scoreless tie two years ago in a match played at Virginia Tech. The Seahawks posted their first-ever win over Wake Forest in last year's meeting with a 3-2 victory in a match played at Virginia Tech.
• Wake Forest will be the third Atlantic Coast Conference team the Seahawks will face this season. UNCW has dropped matches against Virginia and Clemson.

McCormick Named CAA Co-Player of the Week
• Senior forward Maddie McCormick was named as a co-recipient of the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week award on Monday after guiding UNCW to the Hilton Garden Inn Mayfaire Invitational.
• McCormick, who earned the second CAA Player of the Week honor of her career, shared the award with William & Mary goalkeeper Caroline Casey.
• Named Offensive MVP of the Hilton Garden Inn Mayfaire Invitational, McCormick scored three goals to lead UNCW to a pair of shutout wins over Richmond and Campbell. She scored the first two goals of the game in the Seahawks' 4-0 triumph over the Spiders on Friday night before adding a goal during the second half in a 2-0 victory against the Camels on Sunday afternoon.
• The Seahawks' leading scorer with four goals and eight points this season, McCormick is the eighth player in school history with 20 career goals and the ninth player to reach 50 career points.
Seahawks Picked to Finish Fifth in CAA; Trio Recognized as Part of Preseason All-CAA Team
• The Seahawks were picked to finish fifth in the Colonial Athletic Association standings in a vote of the league's head coaches. Northeastern University was selected as the preseason favorite to repeat as the CAA champion.
• In addition, a trio of UNCW players - seniors Katrina Guillou, Morgan Leyble and Stephanie Bronson - were listed among the players recognized on the Preseason All-CAA Team. Guillou earned a spot on the team while Leyble and Bronson were honorable mention picks.
• A second team All-CAA pick last year, Guillou was the sixth-leading scorer in the conference after recording 18 points. She ranked fourth in the CAA with eight goals while starting all 18 matches. As a sophomore, she earned first team all-league notice after scoring 10 goals with six assists.
• Meanwhile, Leyble received third team All-CAA accolades last year while starting 17 of 18 matches. She tallied a goal in the Seahawks' 3-2 overtime victory over Wake Forest and posted an assist in a victory over Charlotte. A three-year starter for Coach Paul Cairney, Leyble was named to the All-CAA second team as a sophomore.
• A two-time all-conference selection, Bronson returns to the field after missing all of last year. She was a first team All-CAA honoree after scoring five goals with two assists during the 2013 season. In addition, she received a spot on the 2012 All-CAA third team.
