DURHAM, North Carolina – Before the ball drops to signal the start of 2016, the UNCW women's basketball team hopes to drop one more victory onto its record as the Seahawks close out a brief two-game road trip with a visit to No. 12 Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

The Seahawks and the Blue Devils, who will be meeting for the first time since the 2011-12 season, square off at 2 p.m. in the non-conference finale for both teams. Live stats for Thursday's contest can be found by visiting UNCWStats.com while live video and audio will be available via GoDuke.com.

Now 4-6 on the season, UNCW ended a three-game losing streak on Tuesday afternoon by posting a 63-47 victory at North Florida on Tuesday afternoon. The Seahawks never trailed against the Ospreys and shot a season-high 48.2 percent from the field en route to their second consecutive road victory.

Junior guard Naqaiyyah Teague and senior guard Shatia Cole each tallied 16 points to lead the Seahawks to Tuesday's victory. Teague, who has scored 10 or more points in four of her last five outings, made 8 of 17 shots from the floor while Cole came off the bench to connect on 7 of 12 field goal attempts, including both of her three-point tries.

Teague leads the Seahawks' offense by averaging 9.8 points per game, including a 12.3 point per game clip in the last five contests. She also ranks second on the team by grabbing 7.1 rebounds per contest.

Duke, which brings a 10-3 overall record into the New Year's Eve encounter, has won three of its last four games after an 84-47 home victory over Western Carolina on Tuesday night. Sophomore forward Azura Stevens tallied a game-high 21 points by shooting 9-for-13 from the field and 3-for-5 from the free throw line while contributing 10 rebounds.

The Blue Devils shot 58.5 percent from the field, including an impressive 59.3 percent in the first half, while outrebounding Western Carolina by a 49-30 margin.

UNCW and Duke will renew its in-state rivalry for the 12th time, but it will be the first meeting since a 107-45 victory by the Blue Devils on Dec. 20, 2011. The Blue Devils hold a commanding 9-2 advantage in the series, including a 6-0 mark at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

After Thursday's game against Duke, the Seahawks will turn their focus to the Colonial Athletic Association schedule, which begins on Sunday against Elon at Trask Coliseum.
