WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Since the UNCW women's soccer team faced Virginia in the opening weekend of the season, a lot has changed for the Seahawks. They will be hoping those changes continue when they visit Virginia on Friday night in the second round of the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship.

The Seahawks and the Cavaliers will square off at Klöckner Stadium at approximately 7 p.m. in the second game of a doubleheader. Southern California and Princeton play in the first game at 4 p.m.

Live stats and a video broadcast for the game will be available via VirginiaSports.com. In addition, tickets for Friday's game can be purchased by visiting VirginiaSports.com or by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at 800-542-UVA1 (8821) or 434-924-UVA1 (8821).

One of three Colonial Athletic Association teams to advance to the second round, the Seahawks bring a 15-6-1 record into Friday's rematch against the Cavaliers after a 2-0 victory over South Carolina last Friday night. It was UNCW's fifth win in the last six games and marked the Seahawks' 10th shutout of the year, setting a program record.

The top-ranked team in the nation, Virginia carries a 17-1-2 record into the second round contest after a 7-1 rout of Howard in the opening round last Friday. The Cavaliers will bring an 11-game unbeaten streak into Friday's game, going 10-0-1 during that stretch, while boasting the nation's second-ranked offense with a 3.45 goal per game average.

Friday's game between the Seahawks and the Cavaliers will be the third all-time meeting between the two teams. Virginia leads the all-time series by a 2-0-0 margin, including an 8-0 victory over UNCW on Aug. 23 in Charlottesville.
