Aquahawks Head To Emory For First Road Test

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The schedule doesn't get any easier for the UNCW swimming and diving programs this weekend when they visits perennial NCAA Division power Emory for dual meets at the Brown Aquatic Center on the university's campus in Atlanta, Ga.

The Seahawks carry records of 1-1 on the men's side and 0-3 on the women's into Saturday's meets. The Eagles captured their fifth straight women's national title and the men finished third at the NCAA Championships last spring.

UNCW's Valtteri Halonen and Nathan Lane were honored by the Colonial Athletic Association as swimmer and diver-of-the-week, respectively, for their efforts in a win against Old Dominion. Halonen won both the 100 and 200 Backstrokes while Lane captured first in both the 1 and 3-meter boards.

Emory will be video streaming Saturday's meets. A link to the stream is at the top of the page and on the swimming schedule pages.

UNCW visits Duke on Oct. 25 when it returns to the poll following the Emory meet.
