Men's Golf Brandon Sans

Men's Golf Concludes Play in Canada

Ontario, CANADA – UNCW's Hunter Swidzinski and Mauricio Tello both finished in the top 20 to lead the Seahawk men's golf team at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational held at the Oviinbryd Golf Course from Sept. 13-15.

The Seahawks produced a 302-287-303=892 scorecard over the 54-hole event to finish seventh among 13 teams. New Mexico coasted to the team title 10 strokes ahead of Notre Dame.

Swidzinski and freshman Will Ruth each totaled 10 birdies while Tello finished with 36 holes of at least par, good for a share of fourth in the field.

The Seahawks totaled 39 birdies and 154 holes of par.

UNCW returns to action next Monday and Tuesday at the Rod Myers Invitational hosted by Duke.
