UNCW Opens CAA Tournament Run On Wednesday

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Coastal Athletic Association announced on Sunday the tournament field for the upcoming conference baseball championship at Brooks Field, and UNCW will be the sixth seed and open play on Wednesday.

The Seahawks remain the only program in the conference to qualify for all 40 conference championship tournaments. The program enters the postseason as the sixth seed for the first time since 1999.

South Division champion Campbell will be the number one seed, followed by North champion Northeastern. Monmouth, which finished second in the North, and the College of Charleston, which placed second in the South, will be the three and four seeds, respectively. Hofsta, which will
be the fifth seed, earned a tournament berth via its RPI ranking.

On Wednesday, Charleston and Hofstra open the tournament with a noon start, followed by the Seahawks and Monmouth at 4 p.m.

Each game of the championship will be streamed on FloCollege.com.
