Volleyhawks Close Non-Conference Slate with Chants

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Seahawks close out their non-conference schedule on Wednesday, when they host Coastal Carolina at 6 p.m. in Hanover Hall. Wednesday will also be the final night for donating food to Hawk's Harvest.

This marks the program's third year of helping Hawk's Harvest, which benefits UNCW's on-campus food pantry for enrolled students experiencing food insecurity.

UNCW (9-9) and Coastal (6-9) are meeting for the 62nd time, with the Seahawks holding a 33-28 advantage in the series. The Chants, though, have won the last five meetings, including a 3-0 win last season in Conway. UNCW is 20-10at home in the series, which dates back to 1979 and is fourth on UNCW's most contested series list. The William & Mary series has been contested 75 times, followed by East Carolina (68), James Madison (66), and Coastal Carolina (61).

UNCW hits the road this weekend when it returns to conference play at North Carolina A&T beginning on Friday at 6 p.m.
