Wright, Poag Collect CAA Honors

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Cameron Wright and Ivan Poag were honored as Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, by the Coastal Athletic Association on Tuesday.

Wright produced a season-best performance at the Duke Invitational. In the 110 Hurdles, he clocked in with a time of 13.91 seconds to finish second overall. Wright's time sits second in the CAA and is 52nd nationally.

Wright also ranks among the East Region leaders in the 100 meters with a school-record time of 10.29 seconds, set at Vert Klasse Meeting earlier this month.

Poag, meanwhile, finished third in the triple jump with a personal-best mark. The graduate student leapt a season-best 15.38m (50' 5.5"), marking the second-best performance in the CAA this season and 37th nationally.

The Seahawks return to the oval on Apr. 24-25 at the Charlotte Invitational.
