Women's Tennis Preview: William & Mary

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Following a season-opening stretch that included just one home match in the first five, the Seahawks will host three home contests this week, beginning with William & Mary on Thursday at 10 a.m.

The conference –opening match with the Tribe was moved to 10 a.m. due to expected inclement weather. The three matches this week are part of a season-long seven-match homestand that concludes with Coastal Carolina on Mar. 29.

While the Seahawks are opening their conference slate, the Tribe, which stands at 8-3 overall, has won its first two CAA matches against Towson and Drexel.

UNCW and Queens will meet on Saturday at noon, but it's back to conference play on Sunday when Stony Brooks visits the UNCW Tennis Complex.

Getting off to a strong start this season is senior Elif Albayrak at 5-0. Albayrak earned UNCW's lone win last weekend at Stetson, winning in straight sets at the number two position in the lineup.
