SERIES INFO
UNCW and Mount Olive will meet for the seventh time and third straight year. The Seahawks, who have won all six meetings in the all-time series, will open their third straight season against the Trojans, the first time UNCW opens three seasons in a row at home since 2015-17.

The Seahawks have outscored Mount Olive by a 42-point margin in four games under Head Coach Takayo Siddle. Last season's season opener saw UNCW set program records for points (143), players in double figures (8) and points in a half (1H - 81).

SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
Seniors Nolan Hodge, Noah Ross and Greedy Williams anchor six returning Seahawks from last season's CAA Tournament Championship team, along with nine newcomers. Hodge and Ross both enter their fourth year with the Port City program and were named All-Coastal Athletic Association honorable mentions after combining for 15.7 ppg as juniors.

The Seahawks will play 18 regular-season home games, including three as part of the second annual Live Oak Bank Holiday Classic. In total, 31 regular-season contests (18 CAA games) await UNCW in 2025-26.

NEW AT TRASK
Several amenities and concession enhancements will welcome fans to Trask Coliseum as the UNCW men's and women's basketball programs open the 2025-26 season.

Improvements have been made with the fan experience in mind, highlighted by an upgraded lighting system and improved Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the coliseum. More concession speed lines will be available throughout the building to reduce wait times and get fans back to the gameday action.

In addition, several new concession options will be available this year, including select discounted concessions up to 30 minutes prior to tip-off, souvenir cup options, specialty items and a kids meal.

MEN'S HOOPS CELEBRATES 75 SEASONS
No one could have imagined the heights the UNCW men's basketball program has experienced when William J. "Bill" Brooks was hired as Wilmington College's first athletic director, basketball coach, baseball coach and chairman of the health and physical education department in September of 1951.

Now, as the program prepares for its 75th season since the hiring of Coach Brooks, reflections on memorable moments and milestones, highlighted by Tidal Rising, a historic men's basketball documentary series presented by Southeast Mortgage, will be celebrated throughout the 2025-26 campaign.

SEAHAWKS PICKED SECOND IN CAA PRESEASON POLL
UNCW was projected to finish second in the Coastal Athletic Association Preseason Poll.

The 2025 CAA Champion Seahawks, who received five first-place votes, were four points behind preseason favorite Towson, last year's regular season victor, who collected seven first-place tallies. Charleston rounded out the coaches' poll top three with one first-place vote.

Senior guard CJ Luster II garnered Preseason All-CAA First Team recognition following a standout 2024-25 campaign at Stony Brook. The Denton, Texas, native averaged 16.8 points and shot 42.1 percent from three-point range to earn All-CAA Third Team honors one year ago before transferring to UNCW this offseason.

Hodge and Ross were named All-CAA Preseason Honorable Mentions as they enter their fourth season with the Port City program.
