UNCW Announces Linear Broadcasts For Men's Basketball

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The UNCW Athletics Department is excited to announce that a total of nine men's basketball games, beginning with Nov. 18's game against East Carolina, will be broadcast this season by WWAYTV 3 and WITN in Greenville, N.C.

"We're excited to extend our brand into another market through WITN," said UNCW Director of Athletics Michael Oblinger. "WITN, which includes cities like Greenville, New Bern, and Jacksonville, is a mainstay station here in eastern North Carolina, and to be a part of its lineup helps us enhance our reach to fans and alumni.

"WWAY offers access to the Cape Fear Region, allowing our fans to follow their hometown team."

WITN will enter its first season of airing the Seahawks will open the nine-game slate on Tuesday with the East Carolina game. That game will be aired on WITN's MyNetwork TV (7.2).

WWAY, meanwhile, will air Seahawk basketball on its CW Channel, which this fall has brought ACC football to its sports offerings and will add Pac 12 in the future.

With the addition of these linear broadcasts, basketball fans will be able to watch the Seahawks on FloCollege (all home and conference games) and CBS Sports Network (six conference games). All games will be broadcast locally on The Breeze 95.9 FM and on the internet at 959thebreeze.com.
