Marsh Tabbed CAA Player of the Week

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW outfielder Trevor Marsh was named Player of the Week by the Coastal Athletic Association on Monday after leading the Seahawks to an impressive 3-1 record with wins over Wake Forest and Northeastern.

Marsh batted .500 (9-18) with a double, three homers, six runs scored and seven RBI's in UNCW's 3-1 week that included a victory over #12 Wake Forest and a series win at Northeastern. The senior was 7-for-13 at NU, including a pair of homers and three RBI's in Friday's 11-5 victory and a grand slam on Saturday. Marsh, who is on a 10-game hitting streak, was also 2-for-5 and scored twice vs. WFU.

The Seahawks remained in a tie for the conference lead along with the College of Charleston at 12-3.

UNCW hosts Charleston Southern on Apr. 23 at 6 p.m. before heading to William & Mary for another important conference series beginning on Friday.
