Henderson Earns CAA Rookie of the Week Honors

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW redshirt freshman Taylor Henderson has been named the Coastal Athletic Association Rookie of the Week after averaging a double-double of 18.0 points and 10.0 rebounds over two games last weekend.

Henderson fashioned her second career double-double with 23 points and a career-high 11 rebounds on Sunday vs. Towson. It was the sixth 20-point performance of her career.

The Charlotte, N.C., native contributed 13 points, nine rebounds, three steals and one assist vs. William & Mary on Friday. She reached double figures in back-to-back games and has surpassed double-digit scoring 17 times in 2023-24.

Henderson is the CAA's second-leading first-year scorer and seventh-highest overall at 14.5 ppg. This is the second weekly honor of the season for the 5-11 guard, who was also named Rookie of the Week on Dec. 4, 2023.

The Seahawks host Delaware in their home finale on Thursday at 7 p.m.
