UNCW and Marshall meet for the seventh time (3-3) and second straight year after the Seahawks won 78-69 in Huntington last season. The Seahawks committed only six turnovers and never trailed vs. the Herd last December.

LAST TIME OUT
UNCW earned its first win at East Carolina since 2013 on Tuesday night at Minges Coliseum. The Seahawks clamped down on defense to win 67-53 against their rivals with the lowest allowed points total of 2024-25 and the fewest points allowed to a Division I school since limiting Monmouth to 49 on Jan. 26, 2023.

Every Seahawk who played scored at least four points while five UNCW players had at least nine points. The Seahawks also had a season-high 17 assists and nine steals in games vs. Division I opponents.

SCOUTING THE HERD
Marshall staved off a second-half run by Morehead State to win at home, 80-77, on Wednesday night and make only their third road trip of the season. The Herd have lost at defending national runner-up Purdue and a loss at Western Kentucky.

Marshall has started strong against Division I opponents, +27 in the first half, but have been outscored by 16 points following halftime in six Division I games.

ON THE DOCKET

UNCW plays its non-conference road finale at Howard on Dec. 14 at 3 p.m.
