SERIES INFO
This is the first meeting between the schools and the second non-Division I contest of the season for the Seahawks. UNCW scored a school record 143 points in its season-opening win vs. Mount Olive.

LAST TIME OUT
UNCW has not trailed in its last two games, including the 85-74 win vs. UNC Asheville that preceded Christmas break last Saturday. 

Junior Nolan Hodge scored a career-high 21 points while Donovan Newby continued his breakout season with his second straight 20-point effort of the week, with all 20 points coming after halftime.

Newby earned CAA Co-Player of the Week following his two 20-point efforts vs. Florida Gulf Coast and the Bulldogs.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
The Pioneers carry a four-game losing skid into Saturday under first-year Head Coach Blake Jackson, who was named to his post in late September.

SMC is led by senior guard Bryan Bayonne who is averaging 22.6 ppg at the NAIA level.

ON THE DOCKET
UNCW opens Coastal Athletic Association play next Thursday vs. preseason favorite Towson at 7 p.m.
