WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW looks to bounce back against East Carolina at Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum for a noon tip-off on Saturday. The game will be streamed on ESPN+. 

Evan Miller scored a season-high 20 points and hauled in six rebounds in the Seahawks' 96-64 setback at Coastal Carolina on Wednesday night. Miller surpassed 800 career points in the game and shot 8-of-13 from the field, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. In 11 games this season, Miller is second in scoring with 10.5 points per game and leads the team with 15 three-pointers.

Isis Fitch came off the bench against Coastal Carolina and finished as the Seahawks' second-leading scorer. Fitch scored 11 points and hauled in five rebounds. Fitch was perfect from the field, making all five field goal attempts. 

Redshirt sophomore Taylor Henderson leads UNCW with 12.6 points per game. She is second on the team with 5.6 rebounds per game. A member of the CAA All-Rookie Team last season, Henderson is nearing 600 points for her career, needing just 37. She also needs five assists to reach 100 for her career. Henderson leads the CAA in free throws made and free throws attempted.

Ali Zelaya continues to showcase her skills as an elite shot-blocker and rebounder. Zelaya ranks 17th in the nation in blocks (24), 32nd in rebounds (104), and is in the top 50 with 9.5 rebounds per game. Zelaya leads the CAA in blocks and rebounds.

East Carolina leads the all-time series, 34-25. The teams have split the series over the last four meetings dating back to 2017 with East Carolina winning the last two. UNCW is looking for its first win against ECU since 2018. 

SCOUTING THE PIRATES

The Pirates improved to 7-4 on the season and extended their win streak to four games with a home win against VCU on Wednesday night. East Carolina prevailed in a defensive battle, 48-46. Taliyah Wyche led the Pirates with nine points and six rebounds. Amiya Joyner added eight points and four rebounds. Joyner leads the team with 15.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. As a team, East Carolina is 19th in the nation with 15.9 offensive rebounds per game. 

LOOKING AHEAD
