Women's Soccer Falls at East Carolina

GREENVILLE, North Carolina – East Carolina scored a goal in each half to hand the UNCW women's soccer team a 2-0 road setback on Thursday night at Johnson Stadium.
 
The Pirates upped their record to 3-1-1 while the Seahawks dipped to 0-4.
 
ECU forward Sydney Schnell netted the first goal early in the fourth minute on a shot through the bottom right of the net.
 
The Pirates' Ella Steck scored her first career goal in the 89th minute courtesy of an assist by sophomore forward Mackenna Gregory.
 
UNCW forward McKenna Gardner delivered two shots in 17 reserve minutes.
 
The Seahawks close out non-conference play at home vs. Queens on Sunday at 1 p.m. UNCW will honor four players – Kenady Adams, Makaya Parham, Bentley Settin and Hanna Wise ­– in a Senior Day pregame ceremony.
