Men's Golf Takes Battle of the Beaches

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Led by another impressive effort from junior Patrick Sparks, UNCW edged rival Coastal Carolina by a single stroke to win the Battle of the Beaches dual match at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club on Thursday.

Spark, the reigning Golfer of the Week in the Colonial Athletic Association, fashioned a four-under-par 68 to aid UNCW's 288-289 win in the non-conference event.

The Seahawks next host the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Mar. 26-27 at the Country Club at Landfall.
