UNCW Swept At Stony Brook

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook's Kali Moore and Leoni Kunz combined for 22 kills as Stony Brook swept visiting UNCW (25-21, 25-12, 25-20) in another key win for the Seawolves in the Coastal Athletic Association tournament berth race on Sunday.

The Seawolves improved to 9-7 in the league and 14-13 overall. UNCW, meanwhile, dropped their fourth straight and slid to 10-16 and 7-9 in the CAA.

Leoni, a senior, finished with a .529 hitting average with one error in 17 attacks. Moore, a sophomore, held match-high honors with 12 kills.

Caitlyn Callahan paced the Seahawks with six kills and four total blocks.

The Seahawks close out their home schedule next weekend with two matches against William & Mary. Saturday will be senior day and start at 4 p.m. while Sunday is a 2 p.m. start.
