MBB Preview: at East Carolina

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW and longtime regional rival East Carolina meet once again on Thursday as the two programs take the court at 7 p.m. for the 69th edition of the series dating back to 1963.

The Seahawks (5-1), who own a 38-30 lead in the series, topped the Pirates last season, 74-61 in Trask Coliseum behind 18 points and 14 rebounds from Trazarien White. UNCW has won six of the last 10 meetings, but last won in Greenville in 2013.

ECU, meanwhile, suffered an 81-59 loss at George Mason to dip to 4-3 on the young season. The Pirates stand at 4-2 on the season at Minges Coliseum with one of those losses coming to Northeastern, 82-76.
