White, Seahawks Sail Past Coker, 131-92

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW cruised to a 131-92 win over Coker on Wednesday in men's exhibition basketball action at Trask Coliseum as Trazarien White poured in an exhibition-record 42 points.

The 131 points were also an exhibition record for UNCW, eclipsing the previous mark of 117 set in 2016 against Mount Olive.

White, who also added 15 rebounds for a double-double, led six Seahawks in double-figures on the evening. Maleeck Harden-Hayes chipped in 26 points on 7-of-14 from the field and 9-for-9 from the foul line.

Nick Farrar scored 14 points, hauled in 11 rebounds and doled out seven assists.

Coker was paced by Mahmoud Bangura's 21 points while Glenn Bynum had 16.

The Seahawks open their season on Nov. 6 when they host Mount Olive at 7 p.m. Tickets for the game are on sale at UNCWSports.com/buytickets.

Notes: The Seahawks broke the 100-point mark for the seventh time against collegiate competition in exhibitions … UNCW outscored the Cobras in the paint, 74-34, and scored 53 fast break points … The previous exhibition record for points was 25 by Daniel Fountain (2006) and Craig Callahan (2002)
