Tribe Walks Off Seahawks On Ninth Inning Homer

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Jack Cone's leadoff home run in the bottom of the ninth inning completed a seven-run comeback over the final two innings to give William & Mary an 8-7 win on Sunday at Plumeri Park. The win also gave the Tribe the weekend series with UNCW.

The Tribe improved to 11-10 overall and 2-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association. The Seahawks, meanwhile, dropped to 13-10 and 1-2 in the league.

Rojo Prairie earned the win in relief for the Tribe while Ethan Chenault took the loss.

Brooks Baldwin, Dillon Lifrieri and Matt Suggs had home runs for the Seahawks.

UNCW travels to nationally-ranked North Carolina on Mar. 29 for a 7 p.m. start on the ACC Network.
