Former Seahawks Open MILB Season This Week

Five former Seahawks are on AAA rosters

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Fourteen former Seahawks dot minor league rosters as their season began earlier this week.

Five players are at the AAA level, two at AA and five are at A. Two players are in extended spring training waiting for their assignments.

Ryan Jeffers, who began the season with the Minnesota Twins, reported to the AAA Saint Paul Saints and promptly homered in his first game with the club.

Joining Jeffers at the AAA level are Evan Phillips, Josh Roberson, Seth Frankoff and Austin Warren. Warren and Roberson are at the AAA level for the first time.

Casey Golden is on the Hartford Yard Goats' roster in the AA Northeast League while Gavin Stupienski recently signed with Kansas City and reported to their AA affiliate Northwest Arkansas this week. Also moving to the AA level is Alex Royalty, who was promoted to Akron by the Cleveland Indians on May 6.

At the A level are David Sheaffer, Greg Jones (who is on the injured list), Justin Crump and Clark Cota.

Remaining on the complex level are Zarion Sharpe and Mason Berne.
