Taylor Lands ABCA All-America Accolade

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW's Zane Taylor earned his second All-America honor on Friday as the righthander landed on the American Baseball Coaches Association's second team.

Taylor was named second-team All-America earlier in the week by the National College Baseball Writers Association.

As a senior Taylor was honored as the Pitcher of the Year by the Coastal Athletic Association after going 11-2, including a 14-strikeout win over Campbell at the CAA Conference tournament. In that game, he tossed eight shutout innings, a career-high, and scattered three hits.

Taylor is the first Seahawk to earn All-America honors since Ryan Foster in 2016. That season, Foster was named to three All-America squads after posting a 13-2 record and a 2.47 earned run average.
