WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Stela Joksimovic, a four-star women's tennis recruit from Chapel Hill, will join the UNCW program for the 2021-22 season.

Joksimovic attended East Chapel Hill High School as a freshman before moving on to the North Carolina Cyber Academy. She won the North Carolina state doubles championship as a freshman with the Wildcats. Joksimovic also competed for the Eastern section in the USTA Zonal Championships and represented the state in the USTA Southern Junior Cup.

"We're excited to welcome Stela to our team," said Hans Olsen. "Our players and coaching staff really connected with Stela and believe here strong commitment to academics and tennis are a great match for us."

Joksimovic is the daughter of Snjezana and Aleksander Joksimovic.

 "I'm super excited to be joining this team in the fall," said Joksimovic. "I can tell that the community at UNCW is very hardworking and supportive. I look forward to competing as a Seahawk and growing alongside the great players and coaches."
