WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCWSports.com will look at the members of the UNCW Department of Athletics staff with a weekly feature called "Seahawk Staff Spotlight." Each Tuesday, the website will profile a different member of the staff.

The latest edition profiles Director of Men's Basketball Operations Craig Ponder, who is in his first season on Coach Takayo Siddle's staff. Ponder, a UNCW alum, holds the program record with 130 games played from 2011-16 and ranks 14th on the career scoring list with 1,160 points.

The warm welcome back from many people across the university

What does working at UNCW mean to you?
It means the world to me because it gives me the incredible opportunity to mentor the students that come to campus after me.

#0 – It reminds me of an important time in my life    

Did you play sports in college? If so, what sport and where did you play?
I played basketball at UNCW and helped the Seahawks win the 2016 CAA Championship.
