Baseball Preview: East Carolina

Seahawks host longtime rival Pirates at 6 p.m.

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Seahawks host nationally-ranked East Carolina on Wednesday as UNCW continues its seven-game homestand.

UNCW (10-5) is coming off a series loss to Memphis while the Pirates, who play Tuesday against Elon, swept Charlotte over the weekend. East Carolina is ranked 24th in Baseball America's latest rankings.

Wednesday's game is the first of three this season with the long-time rival for the Seahawks. The two programs will meet again on April 14 in Kinston, N.C., at historic Grainger Stadium. The third and final game is set for April 21 in Greenville.

Tickets for the neutral site game in Kinston can be purchased online at www.woodducksbaseball.com, by calling (252) 686-5172 or in the Grainger Stadium front office Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

First-pitch for Wednesday is set for 6 p.m. Tickets for tomorrow's game can be purchased at UNCWSports.com/buytickets.
