WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCWSports.com will look at the members of the UNCW Department of Athletics staff with a weekly feature called "Seahawk Staff Spotlight." Each Tuesday, the website will profile a different member of the staff.

Jackson Clark, who serves as an assistant director for the Seahawk Club. Clark, who joined the UNCW Athletics staff in September of 2019, is a graduate of Longwood University where he was a member of the Lancers' wrestling team.
What do you remember about your first day working at UNCW?
We were asked to evacuate the campus and community as Hurricane Dorian was approaching the next day.
What is one of your favorite memories of working at UNCW?
It has to be watching the 2019 men's soccer team battle against James Madison in the CAA Championship Game at UNCW Soccer Stadium with only 10 players on the field. UNCW ended up losing on an incredible shot, but the team was in control for most of the match.
What does working at UNCW mean to you?
Working at UNCW for the past year has been great. We are a tight-knit community that really strives to impact the lives of student-athletes, the university and the community. To be a part of a group that has a mission of helping and giving back is a special thing. I have enjoyed the people I have been able to grow professionally and personally with.
If you were an athlete, what jersey number would you want to wear and why?
#0 because my favorite basketball player is Damian Lillard.
Did you play sports in college? If so, what sport and where did you play?
I wrestled for two years at Longwood and then played rugby for two years.
