Seahawk Staff Spotlight: Brad Moore

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCWSports.com will look at the members of the UNCW Department of Athletics staff with a weekly feature called "Seahawk Staff Spotlight." Each Tuesday, the website will profile a different member of the staff.

The latest installment takes an inside look at Brad Moore, who serves as the Seahawks' head strength and conditioning coach. Moore, a Wilmington native, joined the UNCW staff as interim head strength and conditioning coach in December of 2019 before being elevated to the top position in late August.

What do you remember about your first day working at UNCW?
I was very excited and appreciative of the opportunity to be here. I was ready to take on the challenge and do good things for the program and the athletic department.

What is one of your favorite memories of working at UNCW?
Thoroughly enjoying the people I get to work with and the relationships I have built.

What does working at UNCW mean to you?
I grew up here in Wilmington and came to games here at UNCW, so I have always been a fan of the university. To give back and now be a part of it means a lot. It's awesome to be able to lead the athletes who I used to look to as a young kid and help them continue to be successful and carry on the winning tradition.

If you were an athlete, what jersey number would you want to wear and why?
25 – I've had that number from a young age.

Did you play sports in college? If so, what sport and where did you play?
No.
