NORMAN, Oklahoma – Sophomore Rachael Mast carded a 3-over par 75 to lead UNCW during the opening round of the NCAA Norman Regional at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club on Monday afternoon.
 
Florida, the No. 10-ranked team in the nation according to GolfStat, holds a one-stroke lead over No. 50 NC State after the first round. A group of four teams, including Texas Tech, Texas, Ole Miss and Mississippi State, follow in a tie for third place.
 
Mast, who is tied for 54th place after the opening round, paced the Seahawks with five birdies on Monday, including three birdies in the final nine holes.
 
The Seahawks will begin the second round on Tuesday morning from the No. 10 hole with UTSA and Fairleigh Dickinson starting at 9:20 a.m. CT.
