WILMINGTON, North Carolina – No. 13 Alabama set a Landfall Tradition record by shooting 10-under par on Saturday as the Crimson Tide took a commanding lead after 36 holes at the Country Club of Landfall's Dye Course.
The Crimson Tide, who shared the lead with Illinois following the opening round, shot a blistering 278 team score on Saturday and has an 11-stroke advantage over No. 9 South Carolina entering the final round. No. 37 Florida State stands in third place after carding a two-over par 290 team score.
Junior Angelica Moresco of Alabama moved into the individual lead at five-under par after finishing the second round with a two-under par 70 while four players are two strokes off the lead at three-under par.
UNCW, which completed the second round in a tie for 17th place with Maryland, was led by sophomore
Phu Khine on Saturday. The Yangon, Myanmar, native shot two-over par to move in a tie for 40th place at four-over par through 36 holes.

Thao My Nguyen hit a hole-in-one on the par-3 16th hole ... It is the second straight year she has recorded an ace on the 16th hole in the second round at Landfall ... Alabama leads the field with 35 birdies through the second round and is shooting seven-under par on par-4 holes ... The Crimson Tide and Furman have also recorded two eagles apiece in the first 36 holes ... Alabama broke the Landfall Tradition's Second Round record by three strokes, eclipsing the mark set by Tulane in 2004 and equaled by Wake Forest three years later ... The Crimson Tide were just three strokes shy of matching the overall single-round team mark set by Michigan State in 2015.
