CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina – Sophomore
Phu Khine fired a four-under par 68 as UNCW completed play at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational with the third round at the UNC Finley Golf Course on Sunday afternoon.
The Seahawks, who shot a 293 team score in the final round, closed out the tournament in 16th place. Michigan State rallied to earn the team title after edging Alabama by one stroke.
Khine, who authored her fifth round of par or better this season, posted four birdies without a bogey in the final round to earn a share of 70th place with freshman
Mallory Fobes. Fobes carded an even-par 72 in Sunday's final round to finish with a 75-78-72=225 result.
Junior
Caroline Cahill finished the tournament in a tie for 57th place to lead the Seahawks. The Wilmington, N.C., product shot a seven-over par score for the weekend, including a two-over par 74 on Sunday.
