WILMINGTON, North Carolina – After suffering a tough setback to first place Hofstra on Thursday, the UNCW men's basketball team shoots up to Beantown to take on Northeastern early Saturday in the finale of a two-game Colonial Athletic Association road swing to the frosty northeast.

UNCW (7-12, 3-3 CAA) and Northeastern (10-8, 4-2 CAA) go head-to-head in a noon tip-off inside historic Mathews Arena, the original home of the Boston Celtics. The two teams meet up again in 29 days on Valentine's Day at Trask Coliseum in Wilmington.

The Seahawks, who have alternated wins and losses over the last four games, are coming off an 87-72 defeat to the Pride on Long Island. UNCW was on top, 51-50, with 15:42 remaining until the Hofstra rallied down the stretch for its 11th home win without a loss and 13th consecutive victory overall.

"We need to get up to Boston, focus on the scouting report and make sure we play both halves better than we did last night," said second-year UNCW head coach C.B. McGrath.

Junior guard Jeantal Cylla poured in 16 points to anchor three players in double figures for UNCW against Hofstra – the seventh time he's led the club in scoring this season. Senior forward Devontae Cacok also collected his NCAA-leading 13th double-double of the season and 48th of his career.

Sophomore guard Ty Gadsden continues to play well since returning from an injury. The Charlotte product reached double figures for the third straight game with 12 points on Thursday and topped double digits for the seventh time in 2018-19. He leads the CAA in three-point shooting, connecting on 57.4 percent behind the arc on 35-of-61 treys.

Live Seahawk Digital Network (SDN) coverage of the UNCW-NU contest starts at 11:45 a.m. with Mike Vaccaro, the "Voice of the Seahawks," on the call. Visit UNCWsports.com/SDN for live audio coverage.
