Thao My Nguyen posted a four-under-par 67 to lead UNCW during the second round of the Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Course on Saturday afternoon.
The Seahawks, who carded a 293 team score in the second round, moved up one spot to 12th place in the team standings. Alabama shot 22-under-par in Saturday's round to take a 10-stroke lead over Texas.
Nguyen, a First-Team All-Colonial Athletic Association performer a year ago, moved into a tie for 13th place after finishing the day with her first sub-par round of the season.
Freshman
Phu Khine holds a share of 35th place at two-over-par after firing a 74 in Saturday's round while sophomore
Rachael Mast is tied for 53rd place.
Senior
Ellinoora Moisio is tied for 78th place entering the final round while freshman
Madison Issacson rounds out the Seahawks' contingent in 81st place.
The final round of the Schooner Fall Classic is scheduled for Sunday morning with the Seahawks starting on the 10th hole at 10 a.m. CT.
