WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Senior midfielder
David Lozano scored the game's only goal in the 49th minute as UNCW edged Winthrop, 1-0, in a men's soccer exhibition contest at UNCW Soccer Stadium on Sunday evening.

Lozano gave the Seahawks the one-goal advantage just 3:40 into the second half when he blasted a free kick from 25 yards into the upper left corner of the goal.

Kyle McGovern each tallied a save for the Seahawks, who outshot the Eagles by a 9-5 margin.
UNCW completes its exhibition schedule on Saturday, Aug. 18 at High Point at 7:30 p.m.
