Thao My Nguyen each carded a two-over-par 74 to aid UNCW to a ninth-place finish at the Charleston Invitational at RiverTowne Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
Final Results
The Seahawks, who closed out the tournament with an 896 team score, finished just two strokes behind William & Mary after authoring a 303 team score in the final round. Coastal Carolina won the team title after finishing at nine-under-par with an 855 team score.

Thompson finished in a tie for 17th place with senior
Lyberty Anderson as each player finished the tournament at four-over-par. Anderson posted a five-over-par 77 in Tuesday's final round.

Nguyen, meanwhile, fashioned a two-over-par 74 for the second straight round to finish in a tie for 44th place.

Ellinoora Moisio claimed a share of 42nd place at 11-over-par (74-75-78=227) while freshman
Caroline Cahill ended the tournament in a tie for 79th place (84-80-83=247).
