WILMINGTON, North Carolina – East Carolina claimed five of seven matches against UNCW in a match play event held at the Wilmington Municipal Golf Course on Friday.

Thao My Nguyen defeated junior Kate Law, 3&2, while senior
Kayla Thompson earned a 5&4 victory for the Seahawks over sophomore Siranon Shoomee.
Coach Ho Says: "It was a good effort by our players. ECU played extremely well, made a lot of birdies and were just too strong throughout the lineup. It's always fun to play a match play format and a great opportunity to compete against a very strong and nationally-ranked team."
