CAA Recognizes 130 Student-Athletes For Academics

CAA Commissioner's Academic Award Winners | Winter/Spring 2017

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW has finished in the top half of the Colonial Athletic Association for Commissioner Academic Award winners during the 2017 Winter/Spring Semester.

A total of 1,414 student-athletes who distinguished themselves in the classroom and the athletic arena were honored by the CAA on Friday. Student-athletes had to be a member of a CAA-sponsored team sport and achieve at least a 3.20 grade point average based on a 4.00 scale.

William & Mary led the league with 205 selections, followed by Delaware (188), Drexel (170), Towson (141), UNCW (130), Northeastern (118), Elon (113), Hofstra (105), James Madison (81) and College of Charleston (66).
