WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Freshman infielder
Hannah Adamczyk collected four hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in four runs as UNCW closed out its season-opening homestand by splitting a pair of games against Virginia and Radford at the Seahawk Softball Showcase at Boseman Field on Sunday afternoon.
The Seahawks, who finished the homestand with a 12-6 mark, outlasted Virginia by an 8-7 count in 12 innings before dropping a 6-3 decision against Radford. In the final game of the tournament, Virginia edged Radford, 3-2.
Adamczyk led the Seahawks to the victory over Virginia by going 3-for-6 with a double and three RBI. She also added a double and another run driven in against Radford.

Merritt Wilkinson also contributed three hits and two runs scored for the Seahawks while three other players posted a pair of hits.

Peyton Jordan claimed the victory in the circle against Virginia after allowing just one unearned run in three innings of relief with a strikeout. She also gave up one earned run in three innings against Radford, but received a no-decision. Â
