WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW men's soccer team begins the quest for the program's second Colonial Athletic Association championship on Saturday night as the Seahawks welcome College of Charleston to the Port City for a 7 p.m. quarterfinal game.

The Seahawks, who enter the postseason with an 8-5-3 record, are making their fifth consecutive appearance in the CAA Championship field after posting a 3-2-3 mark in league play. They secured the No. 3 seed in the bracket after a scoreless draw at Elon on Tuesday night.
Redshirt junior forward
Julio Moncada leads the Seahawks offensively into the tournament. The Puerto Cortes, Honduras, native has scored eight goals, including a CAA-best six game-winning markers, with three assists after scoring the lone goal in last Saturday's 1-0 win over Delaware.
Meanwhile, redshirt sophomore goalkeeper
Ryan Cretens anchors the Seahawks' defensive unit. The Zebulon, N.C., product has played every minute for UNCW this season, posting a 0.96 goals against average and a .686 save percentage. Cretens also ranks among the CAA leaders with six shutouts.
College of Charleston begins its quest for a CAA crown as the No. 6 seed after compiling a 5-8-3 record in the regular season, including a 3-3-2 showing in the CAA. The Cougars have won back-to-back games after a 1-0 victory over Drexel on Tuesday night at Patriots Point.

Nico Rittmeyer is the Cougars' offensive leader with four goals and one assist while senior midfielder
Nicolas Jeausseran has contributed two goals with two assists. Junior goalkeeper
Kevin Shields has made 13 starts this season and has a 1.44 goals against average while stopping 79.1 percent of the shots he has faced.
UNCW leads the all-time series against College of Charleston by a 7-5-2 margin. The teams played to a 1-1 draw in the regular season meeting on Oct. 12 at Patriots Point.
The winner of Saturday's game advances to face second-seeded Delaware in the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 11, at Hofstra Soccer Stadium at 4:30 p.m.
