WILMINGTON, N.C. - The final show of the 2009-10 season for "UNCW Sports Extra," the athletic department's television show, begins tonight, Thursday, April 8, at 7 p.m. on Time Warner Cable, Channel 5.
The show, the 10th episode of the second season, airs tonight, Friday (April 9) and Monday (April 12) on TWC.
In conjunction with UNCW Media Productions, and presented exclusively by the New Hanover Regional Medical Center, the final show of the year includes in-studio interviews with NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships participants Caitlin Kirsteier and Rob Anderson, a feature on three women's soccer players who traveled to Panama over spring break to perform community service through Global Humanitarian Adventures, and a close look at the Seahawk Shop.
In addition, junior golfer Josh Brock is spotlighted in the "Five Questions" segment.
UNCW students Faiza El-Hibri and Lucas Haskins serve as anchors for the program, while Meghan Bryan, Matt Harris and Bryan Adrian provide reports from the field.
The show also airs on UNCW-TV Channel 77 and is featured on UNCWSports.com. In addition, selected segments are placed on YouTube and Facebook.
