Raynor Caps Career With All-America Finish

UNCW'S RAYNOR FINISHES FOURTH; EARNS ALL-AMERICA HONORS

SACRAMENTO, CALIF. - UNC Wilmington senior Anna Raynor capped a spectacular collegiate career on Saturday for the Seahawks with a fourth-place finish in the Javelin at the NCAA Track & Field Championships to earn All-America honors for the third consecutive year.

Raynor, who fought through tough conditions Friday night to qualify for the finals, recorded her best distance on her fourth throw of the event with a mark of 174-06. That mark set a season best for the Benson, N.C., native, who also finished fourth as a junior.

Purdue senior Lindsay Blaine won the Javelin with a mark of 182-03 while Erma Gene Evans, a senior from Texas-El Paso (179-09), and Georgia senior Krista Woodward (174-08) finished second and third, respectively.
