Seahawk Fans,
As we begin another academic year in Tidal Town, there is tremendous momentum surrounding our athletics programs. The summer months brought several transformational announcements for our department. From record-setting fundraising efforts to major investments in student-athlete health and wellness, the future of Seahawk Athletics has never been brighter.
In August, we announced a
landmark medical partnership with Novant Health and EmergeOrtho. This multi-year agreement represents the largest transformational investment in athletics history and reinforces our commitment to providing the best in-class student-athlete experience. Through this partnership, Novant Health will serve as the
Official Healthcare Provider of UNCW Athletics, while EmergeOrtho will continue its longstanding support as our
Official Sports Medicine Provider. Together, these organizations will help enhance medical care, sports medicine resources, mental health support, nutrition services, and overall wellness opportunities for our student-athletes.
During the last fiscal year,
the Seahawk Club surpassed $10 million in fundraising, which is a record-setting achievement. This level of support demonstrates the belief our donors have in Seahawk Athletics and provides resources that directly benefit our student-athletes. This excitement is also evident in our ticket sales. We have already
surpassed last year's season ticket totals for both men's and women's basketball, and enthusiasm for the upcoming season continues to grow. If you have not secured your seats yet, there is still time to join us for what promises to be an exciting year. Be sure to grab your tickets at
uncwsports.com/tickets.
With that, all of us here at UNCW Athletics would love to invite you
to Trask Coliseum on Saturday, Sept. 26, to get a first look at our men's and women's basketball teams before the season begins. Visit

Our fall sports are off to a strong start! Men's and Women's Soccer remain undefeated with a combined record of 7-0-4 to start the season as they now look ahead to CAA play. We have a jam-packed weekend of soccer at the UNCW Soccer Stadium as the men take on William & Mary on Saturday while the women face Coastal Carolina on Sunday.
Purchase your tickets today! Indoor volleyball returns to Hanover Hall to host its second home tournament of the season this weekend.
Admission is free, so come out and support our student-athletes as they compete on campus this fall.
As we look ahead to an exciting year for Seahawk Athletics, I encourage you to stay engaged, attend competitions, and continue investing in the success of our student-athletes. Thank you for being an essential part of our Seahawk Family. Your support fuels our momentum and helps us provide exceptional opportunities for our student-athletes both in competition and in the classroom.
Our Seahawk Pride Will Never Fail,
Mike Oblinger
