WILMINGTON, N.C. – The UNCW women's soccer team hits the road for its first CAA matchup of the season Sunday at 1 p.m. against Hampton at Armstrong Stadium.

Series History
Sunday's match marks the fifth meeting between the Seahawks and Pirates, with UNCW holding a 4-0 advantage in the all-time series. The teams last met Oct. 5, 2025, when the Seahawks earned a 4-1 victory at UNCW Soccer Stadium.
Hampton enters Sunday's matchup under first-year head coach Sam Cain, who most recently served as head coach at Wilmington University.

Last Time Out
The Seahawks closed nonconference play with one of the best starts in program history, finishing with a 5-0-4 record after playing Coastal Carolina to a scoreless draw at UNCW Soccer Stadium.
Hailey Longwell led the Seahawks with five of UNCW's 19 shots, while the defensive unit held the Chanticleers to eight shots. Goalkeepers Lili White and Zoë Anderson combined for four saves to preserve the shutout and keep the Seahawks unbeaten.

CAA Recognition
Caigan Leonard and Kamrey Watkins have each earned CAA weekly recognition during the 2026 season. Leonard was named CAA Offensive Player of the Week on Aug. 17 after helping lead the Seahawks to a 2-0 start, while Watkins earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors Sept. 14 after recording a goal and an assist in UNCW's 2-0 victory at Charlotte. Hailey Longwell and Ava Chuderewicz were named to the 2026 Preseason All-CAA Team, while Rachel Fry and Ava Vaughan were selected as honorable mentions.
