Women's Tennis Picks Up CAA Win

TOWSON, Md. – UNCW picked up a key Coastal Athletic Association women's tennis match win on Friday as the Seahawks topped host Towson, 5-2.

With the road win, UNCW improved to 9-4 on the season while the Tigers dipped to 9-10.

UNCW grabbed a 1-0 lead with Eda Arli and Elif Albayrak winning 6-3 at number one doubles.

Simay Keles (6-1, 6-2) and Alex Borcich (6-2, 6-2) made it 3-0 Seahawks with wins at number four and six singles.

Katelyn Hubbard clinched the win with a straight-set 6-4, 6-3 win at number three.

The Seahawks next visit Campbell on Apr. 9 at 3 p.m.
