Baseball's Winning Streak Halted At Seven

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW saw its winning streak halted at seven with a 14-2 loss to nationally-ranked NC State at Brooks Field on Tuesday.

The Seahawks dropped to 14-7 while the 10th-ranked Wolfpack climbed to 17-4.

NCSU plated four in both the second and third innings for an 8-1 lead after three.

Braydon Fraasman held game-high honors with four hits for the Wolfpack.

Reliever Sam Harris (1-0) was credited with the win while Seahawk starter Alex Sobol (0-2) was tagged with the loss.

The Seahawks return to conference play this weekend at Charleston, beginning on Friday at 6 p.m.
