Women's Tennis Sails Past Queens, 7-0

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW made quick work of Queens on Saturday as the Seahawks blanked the Royals, 7-0, at the UNCW Tennis Complex.

The Seahawks improved to 4-3 while Queens stayed winless at 0-10.

Alicia Eberwein and Sophia Catino opened the doubles point with a 6-2 win on court three and Lucia Gomez and Simay Keles clinched the point on court two with a 6-2 victory.

In singles, Eda Arli posted a 6-4, 6-4 win at number one singles and Eberwein made it 3-0 UNCW, with her straight-set 6-0, 6-0 win at number six singles.

Gabbie Glickstein clinched the match on court five, also posting a 6-0, 6-0 straight-set win.

The Seahawks host Stony Brook on Sunday at 9 a.m. The match was moved earlier to avoid inclement weather.
