Men's Tennis Stays Unbeaten At Home

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW made quick work of Lehigh on Wednesday in a 4-0 win in the Battle of the Beach at the UNCW Tennis Complex.

UNCW moved to 3-7 with the win, while the Mountain Hawks dropped to .500 at 6-6 with the loss. The Seahawks are 3-0 at home this season entering their next match on Mar. 13 against Kennesaw State. First serve is set for 2 p.m.

Alex de Gabriele and Brady Hussey started the match with a 6-0 win at number one doubles, and William Dean and Lukas Steffen clinched the point, cruising to a 6-2 win at number two doubles.

Steffen, who improved to 5-2 at number one singles, claimed a 6-3, 6-1 win to give UNCW a 2-0 lead. Hussey followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win on court five, and Oscar Baumgartner sealed it with a win on court four (6-3, 6-4).
