Tribe Ralles Past Seahawks, 85-78

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – William & Mary used a 12-0 second-half run to rally past UNCW, 85-78, in Coastal Athletic Association men's basketball action on Thursday night at Trask Coliseum.

The Tribe jumped their record to 15-8 and stands 6-5 in the league following their season sweep of UNCW, who dipped to 19-4 and 8-2 in the league.

UNCW's Nolan Hodge notched a team-high 22 points, his second straight game with 20 points and eighth time overall, while center Patrick Wessler was two rebounds shy of a double-double with 16 points and eight rebounds.

Seniors Noah Ross and Greedy Williams each added 10 points.

Four Tribe players achieved double figures, including reserve guard Reese Miller's 23 points along with Jo'el Emanuel's 15 points off the bench. Starters Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi and Kyle Pulliam each contributed 10 points.

UNCW converted nine three-pointers, including five of its first six three-point attempts, but W&M's 10 second-chance points limited the Seahawks to a narrow 45-41 advantage at halftime after UNCW led by as many as 12 in the opening frame.

A Jahnathan Lamothe three-pointer gave UNCW a 59-53 lead with 13:47 to go in the game. The Tribe then rattled off its game-changing run with 12 straight points, including eight consecutive by Pulliam, to build a 65-59 lead with 11:34 left.

Miller scored W&M's final 10 points, including eight made free throws, over the final 2:07 to close out the win.

UNCW travels to Charleston for an 8 p.m. Monday night contest on CBS Sports Network.
